Fall quarter mainly consisted of re-establishing the officers' hold on club activities, as only three officers from the previous year remained (and one of them had to retire because of fatigue). Perhaps it was fortuitous for the large turnover to happen this year, as many newcoming members stayed around for officers' meetings and gave hope to the club that it will survive the test.
A rescue team from sent by the club proved to be bad enough dudes to rescue her, but regretfully not before her captors had performed unspeakable changes to her. Fate was on the side of the UCJAS, however, as while her body was reconstructed, they weren't able to touch her mind or soul before the rescue team's, well, rescue.

One of the best manga I've ever read finally gets a good treatment. This series is huge in Japan, and I think you are missing out if you don't show it. ~Stephen

UCJAS holds free screenings of Japanese animation, commonly known as anime, for students and community members of the University of Chicago. We also organize special events such as marathon showings, trips, social gatherings, and other activities. This site functions not only as the homepage of UCJAS, but also as a community wiki for the club to host discussions and make recommendations.
Regular showings are on Wednesday, 7pm-10pm in Stuart 104. We hope to see you there!

Vincent is a different person depending on who you ask. Most people that know him would say he's a pretty smart, quiet boy who grew up in suburban New Jersey. The word on the street is that "Vinny from Jersey" ran a gunrunning business and was a surprisingly influential figure in organized crime, at one point a liaison between various groups, most often between one the Five Families of New York and various Far East syndicates. Previously-classified FBI documents, however, state that he was actually an informant for either (depending on the source) the FBI, the DEA, ATF, or perhaps all of them (a botched sting that revealed his identity as a snitch may have led to his moving to Chicago). Another recently-acquired source refutes all this, stating that the arms-smuggling was actually a cover for the ADRS, an organization that tracks, handles, and covers up anime-multiverse anamolies (think MIB, except not for aliens per se).
