Letter From the Editor

Hey Absolut Anime Readers,

Welcome back from winter vacation. I hope you had an enjoyable time fully devoting your mind and soul to absorbing anime. I certainly did. I went back to Taiwan and stared at shelves and shelves of anime. Anyway, I don't want to make people who weren't as lucky as me jealous, so I won't say too much about almost experiencing heaven. This quarter, we're continuing with Bakuretsu Hunter. They're still disjointed stories that let us see further into Carrot Glace's girl chasing sprees, and the relationship the two sisters Tira and Chocolat have. (Speaking of Chocolat, Monica wanted me to dress as her for Halloween next year. Scary thing is, my hair could double as the suspender straps she wears in the manga... No, Monica!) Personally, I'm just watching it for Marron, although he's much more nicely drawn in the manga. It's altogether very entertaining, so don't miss it!

We're also showing Escaflowne. We showed it last year, but this year we have better subtitles, so you know you're going to be there. Personally, I can't get over the weird noses, but when I do, I'll be raving about how good it is. The story line is interesting, and Monica wrote about the tarot cards, which play an important part in the anime, last issue.

This issue, we'll be hearing about fulfilling the ultimate anime experience. We watch the anime, we read the manga, we wear clothes that express anime, so what's left? How about downloading sound files and listening to them? If you're as clueless as I am as to how to completing your anime experience, check out Hsin's article, and he'll tell you how to be the penultimate anime fan.

We also have great reviews on manga (Koji! Koji!) and a response to paranoid and misguided people who think anime is wrong. So that's our issue for this month. Check it out, and tell us what you think.
