Also called Big Jon, _shinji, or Totoro, while not technically a U of C student, he was nonetheless closely affiliated with UCJAS until Henry left, or he got a job that made him busy, whichever came first (I forget). He was a whiz with the Amiga subtitler and subtitled a few series on VHS. He hung up the subtitling gig when he got the aforementioned job, just as VHS subs were dying and digisubs eventually hit mainstream and took over.

He has risen high in the ranks of anime and was convention chair for Anime Central in 2005 and 2006, bringing the likes of The Pillows to the US, and contacting the goddamn president of the Hyatt to let us rollerblade on stage at the masquerade.

He is also a member of the (now defunct?) band SWEK and currently plays bass for the Voices For Band, the backing band for the American voice actor band Voices For Peace.
