Hideaki Anno is one of the founders of famed studio Gainax and was one of the directors of the famed opening animations for Daikon III and IV. Anno left the studio because of conflicts involving His and Her Circumstances. He's gone on to make 3 live action movies: Love + Pop, Shikijitsu, and an adaptation of Cutie Honey. He has started a new studio (Studio Khara) and is working on 4 new Evangelion movies with Gainax.
