Artist of the Month: Axel

Welcome to a somewhat delayed edition of B-Jitsu! This issue, we have a brand spanking new artist o' theEnter Gallery month, Axel! Enter the Gallery and see the wonderful artwork that is pure Axel-goodness. Her amazing CG pieces are of professional quality, and I'm so glad I stumbled onto her page. I'm just happy that B-Jitsu Studios is able to bring you such wonderful art.

But seriously, I'm a little sad that we can only feature one artist per issue. There are so many great artists out there who deserve to have their portfolio (or at least a tiny part of it) displayed. That is B-Jitsu's main goal, to garner exposure for anyone who is interested in displayihg their work.

Our name, B Jitsu, is a play on words. "Bi" (shortened to an ever-kawaii "B") can mean beautiful (Bishonen means beautiful boy. Bishoujo means beautiful girl), and "Jitsu" means truth/truthful/true depending on the word you add on after it. But, Bijutsu means art. There is a slight pun on the pronunciation -- bijitsu, bijutsu. And what is art other than a beautiful perception of truth? HEY! You try coming up with a title...*sulk*

Interested in having your artwork featured here? Send me an e-mail and a URL so I can check out some of your works, and we'll see what we can do. The art work doesn't necessarily need to be anime/manga characters. In fact, we encourage original art, original characters, and all sorts of mediums (CG, markers, pencils, etc.) But no ecchi/hentai/skebe art, o'kay? This is a newsletter for all ages, so we have to set some standards.

Well, enough talking, on with the art, and I hope to hear from you artists (and aspiring artists) out there. Enjoy and have fun! (I know I am....)
