Arthur, or "Wart," is a young lad of no special talent or prowess. He is friends with one "Merlin," reputed to be a great wizard, which is clearly ridiculous in spite of the nonsense Wart spins about being turned into animals by the doddering old man. While a nice enough chap, he is considered unlikely ever to surpass his older brother Cai in ability or social standing.
