The Acquisitions Officer acquires things. In particular, anime. Often on short notice, in the form of "oh shit, we need this by next week!" S/he keeps an eye on the newest anime, legal or otherwise, and know where to go for the best deals. The Acquisitions Officer also has access to high-speed internet and mad BitTorrent skills.
